Rocketman is a forthcoming anecdotal melodic film dependent on the life of performer Elton John. The movie is coordinated by Dexter Fletcher and composed by Lee Hall. It stars Taron Egerton as John, with Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard. The film pursues John's initial days as a wonder at the Royal Academy of Music up to his possible melodic organization with Bernie Taupin. The film is titled after John's 1972 tune "Rocket Man".
An Elton John biopic was declared in January 2012, and experienced a few chiefs and performers, including Michael Gracey, Tom Hardy, and Elton's own decision: Justin Timberlake. Egerton was eventually given a role as John in July 2017 and Fletcher marked on as chief in April 2018. Vital photography started in August 2018.
It was declared in January 2012 that Elton John was building up a biopic about himself, and had named Justin Timberlake as his top decision to play him in the film. Lee Hall was set to pen the screenplay. In March 2013, Michael Gracey was contracted to coordinate, with Tom Hardy cast in October to play John and Focus Features procuring the U. S. appropriation rights. Shooting was at first wanted to begin in Autumn 2014.
No further advancement on the film was reported until July 2017, when it was declared Hardy was never again included with the undertaking, and Taron Egerton entered exchanges to supplant him. Dexter Fletcher, who had supplanted Bryan Singer amid the creation of the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, supplanted Gracey as executive with Paramount Pictures now possessing appropriation rights. It was accounted for that Egerton would sing the melodies in the film himself. In a meeting at CinemaCon, Egerton expressed the film would be to a greater degree a dream melodic instead of a clear biopic.
